چکیده

Aims: Healthy gut microbiome plays a crucial role in the treatment of Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) infection and chronic liver disease. Based on existing studies, we aimed to explore difference efficacy Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) patients with different stages HBV-related Methods: In this study, 10 HBV HBeAg-negative infection, 8 Chronic (CHB) hepatitis cirrhosis Child-Pugh score A, 9 B/C were treated FMT. Results: Our results demonstrated that continuous FMT improved function, controlled replication HBV-DNA, enhanced intestinal mucosal barrier relieve degree fibrosis postponed progression The result 16S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) sequencing indicated individual genus composition bacteria feces gradually approached structure seen case healthy donors; number specific Operational Taxonomic Units (OTUs) stool samples decreased. Conclusion: study further confirmed could be novel effective strategy for infection.

Fecal Microbiota Transplantation in Liver Diseases and Recent Developments

Introduction: The intestine, as an important part of the human gastrointestinal tract, provides a favorable milieu for the growth and development of a diverse and large population (approximately 1000 species) of bacteria. Currently, the presence of a cohesive relationship between intestinal bacteria and the host is being well studied and identified. According to the available scientific evidenc...

Management of HBV Infection in Liver Transplantation Patients

In the absence of preventative therapy, reinfection of allografts with hepatitis B virus (HBV) after orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) resulted in dismal allograft and patient survival. Major advances in the management of HBV-infected recipients of OLT during the past 15 years have steadily reduced the rate of reinfection, resulting in improved outcomes. Initially, long-term use of hepatit...

MicroRNAs Associated With HBV Infection And HBV-related HCC

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a global problem and a major risk factor for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). microRNAs (miRNAs) comprise a group of small noncoding RNAs regulating gene expression at the posttranslational level, thereby participating in fundamental biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. In this review, we summarize the roles of m...

Association of Periodontal Diseases and Liver Fibrosis in Patients With HCV and/or HBV infection

BACKGROUND Periodontal disease and systemic health are closely associated. However, there is no data supporting the association between periodontal disease and patients with liver diseases associated with hepatitis C virus (HCV) and/or hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to evaluate the association between periodontitis and progression of liver diseases in ...
